Sofia Med Spa and LamaroArte present the exhibition project "The Beauty of Art". A precious selection of artworks dedicated to Sofia's guests to experience in a permanent and constantly evolving exhibition among paintings, sculptures and photographs.
Five wonderful artists exhibit their artwork in the beautiful spaces dedicated to beauty: Ivan Lardschneider, Roberta Diazzi, Paolo Nicolai, Vittorio Campana, Erika Calesini.
The sculptures of artist Paolo Nicolai pay homage to the genius loci of Italy, with experimental research that recovers waste from the marble industry, mixing it with water-based resins to take on unexpected classical forms.
An interpreter of the weaknesses and fears of the human being, Ivan Lardschneider succeeds in giving shape with his sculptures to the great questions of contemporary society, to the great contradictions of our time, that continuous questioning of who we are, where we are going, where we come from? His sculptures seem to translate these thoughts, in an ironic and light but also provocatively reflective way.
Roberta Diazzi's sign - which makes adherence to truth its most celebrated quality - runs through the weave of her canvases, materialising in the extraordinary play of a highly personal stylistic-expressive code, which can be traced back to the greats of international Pop Art, especially in the choice of colors: Andy Warhol for the seriality of his depictions; and Roy Lichtenstein for that original stylistic revision derived from comics.
To enter the world of Erika Calesini is to immerse oneself in a colourful, joyful and enlightened experience. Love for new materials, even waste materials such as rubber and plastic find new shapes and colours. Colour is the protagonist. It is a profound research that of the artist who, with her works, wants to lead us into a space - albeit a spiritual, creative, fantastic space - in which to find an instant of lightness of soul, of hope, of pure joy, of peace.
"Every shot of mine, whether it portrays nature, statues, or focuses on architectural elements, is characterised by the search for essential lines, order in the arrangement of spaces, and the elimination of the superfluous as an element that disturbs the rigour of the composition". In Vittorio Campana's "Transparencies" series, the shot is then processed on the computer, reworked and printed on a sheet of Plexiglas.
